Join the SPCA of Texas’ Young Professionals for Dogs and Donuts on August 24th from 10AM – 12PM at the SPCA of Texas’ Dallas Animal Care Center for an enlightening event on animal welfare and volunteering. We are excited to welcome highly knowledgeable professionals from the SPCA of Texas, who will share their expertise and insights about their incredible work. Courtney Burns, CAWA will be joining us. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from experts in the field and discover how you can make a difference in the lives of animals. About the Speaker: Courtney Burns, CAWA

Courtney Burns brings over 23 years of passion and expertise to the animal welfare field and has been a vital part of the SPCA of Texas since 2010. As the Chief Investigator of the SPCA of Texas’ Animal Cruelty Investigations (ACI) Unit, she leads a dedicated team of investigators authorized to conduct criminal investigations throughout the state. Under her leadership, the ACI Unit responds to more than 3,000 cases of cruelty each year, making a significant impact on animal welfare in Texas. Throughout her career, Courtney has excelled in various roles, including animal sheltering, field operations, disaster response, and animal cruelty investigations. Her extensive experience and commitment to protecting animals make her an inspiring leader and an invaluable asset to our team.
