Briar Rose Needs You!

Check out the smartest dog this side of the shelter! Briar Rose is needing an urgent foster home that will help keep her mind busy and keep her away from experiencing such high stress. Briar Rose is very sweet once she feels comfortable with someone, she loves to cuddle and get belly rubs! It is hard for Briar Rose to open up to new people here since she doesn’t get to spend much time with them so it is best for her to go to a calmer home to really start to gain confidence!

Briar Rose would do best in a home without young children under 12 years old since she can forget her manners when excited or stressed. She also needs to meet any dogs in the home since she is picky with her four legged friends.

Here is what her week long foster said: Once Briar is comfortable with you she loves to get belly rubs, snuggles and loves that you play catch with her. She also loves to be trained, we trained the whole week with treats and she clearly knows now the words sit, stay, leave it, heel, no, paw and lay down. Briar also can stay by herself at home pretty well without a crate. I left her two days in a row by herself for 2-3 hours (with camera) and she just slept the whole time. We got to completely house train her and she doesn’t chew or go anywhere she isn’t allowed to. Briar also knows how to potty and pee outside and in a pad
