*Pets with undescended testicles (cryptorchid males) may have their appointments delayed or rescheduled based on the vet’s decision. Please email the clinic at clinic@spca.org for further assistance with scheduling an appointment.
NOTE: we book large dog spay/neuters (over 30 lbs) quickly and have limited spots. These typically book out at least 2-3 weeks in advance. Additional charges may apply for pregnancy, in heat, cryptorchidism (un-descended testicles), fleas and umbilical hernia repairs. Please let us know when scheduling if your pet has any medical conditions.
*At this time we are unable to perform surgeries on pets older than 10 years of age. We apologize for any inconvenience!
After scheduling your pet’s spay/neuter appointment, an electronic surgery consent form will be emailed to you. It is important that this form is filled out and submitted before the day of your pet’s appointment to avoid delays at surgery check-in.
If you did not receive this form, please call us at (214) 742-7722 or email us at spca@spca.org so we can confirm your email and resend.
If your pet is current on vaccinations, please attach the proof of these vaccinations to the consent form or send them via email to clinic@spca.org.
Please withhold food after midnight on the night before surgery. They can have access to water as normal.
Please withhold food after 6 a.m. on the morning of their appointment. They can have access to water as normal.
