Wolfie is a 1-year-old male in urgent need of a foster home. He is a friendly, outgoing dog who greets people with enthusiasm and often offers a playful bow at the front of his catch pen. In the yard, he is tolerant of greetings, keeps a neutral body posture, and wags his tail. He enjoys some play with people and is able to engage in polite play with other dogs, including larger breeds. Wolfie is sociable and can coexist well with other dogs, but the shelter environment is very stressful for him. This stress sometimes results in mouthy behavior, frustration, and overexcitement, especially around treats. He can also become hyper-focused on certain high-value items, which makes calm management and training difficult in a shelter setting.
Wolfie would greatly benefit from a foster home where he can decompress and receive consistent guidance, structure, and socialization in a low-stress environment. He is intelligent, affectionate, and playful, and with the right support, he can learn appropriate behaviors and thrive. Because of his energy, enthusiasm, and need to decompress outside of the shelter, Wolfie is considered urgent on our foster list—he truly needs a temporary home where he can relax, feel safe, and start showing his best self. This is an incredible opportunity for someone looking to help a young dog grow into his full potential while providing a loving, structured environment.
