Caleb is a 2-month-old puppy who came to the shelter as a stray and had little to no early socialization. The shelter environment has been overwhelming for him, leaving him fearful and shut down. When he feels cornered or scared, he may react defensively out of fear.
This is not aggression—Caleb is a baby who is confused and terrified by the sudden change in his world.
Caleb also has ringworm, a treatable and temporary skin infection. While manageable, this condition makes it even harder for him to get the calm, individualized care he needs in the shelter.
Caleb urgently needs a patient foster home where he can decompress, feel safe, and begin learning that people can be trusted. With time, consistency, and kindness, he has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.
A foster stepping up now could completely change Caleb’s future.
