Happy National Pitbull Awareness Day – Be Aware of These Cuties!

October 26 is National Pit Bull Awareness Day, and we thought you should be aware of all of these adorable pibbles waiting for their forever homes!

Sweet Dottie loves to be comfy, almost as much as she loves peanut butter. She’s been waiting for her forever home for over a year!

What makes a pitbull a great dog?

Coco had a rough start to life, but now she’s a happy-go-lucky, tennis ball-loving too-big-for-your-lap-but-sits-on-you-anyway dog!

Well there’s the squishy faces, their big soft bellies, their clumsiness, and their happy smiling faces. These are just some of the things that we love about them!

Anna is famous at the SPCA of Texas for her “pibble wiggles” – her little behind is always doing happy dances!

A pitbull isn’t a breed, it’s a designation given to any blocky-headed mixed breed.

Neo is a senior boy with a strong maternal instinct! A puppy squeezed its way through the bars into his kennel and we found them curled up together the next morning!

A pittie’s favorite motto is, “Don’t judge a book by its cover!”

Milo is the master of the “puppy eyes” gaze. And he loves to have his paws held, which we don’t mind at all!

Some pitbulls are playful, some are laid back, and some are just big ol’ couch potatoes!

Batman is definitely a couch potato. His dream is for a home where he can snuggle with a blankie and all his stuffed toys, with a nice human to cuddle!

Pitbulls have a special story and their story is what makes them so unique which is why they deserve to be celebrated and adored every single day. <3 

Gritty went from neglected and scared, unwilling to let anyone touch her, to a goofy pup with a big heart. The dog she is today is miles from how she was when she came in! She loves to play with other dogs and she’s a sucker for peanut butter and chin scratches!
