Once she has jumped, chased and run her energy out, she is ready to nap for the rest of the day, chew her benebone, or play with a toy. She is very alert, bright, loving and charming! She wants to please! She will follow you around the house as she is curious and doesn't like to be left in a room by herself, but rest assured, she doesn't get into anything. She just likes to know where her person is at in the house! She does excellent in her crate given incentives (i.e. treats, cheese). She prefers to sleep on the sofa and in the bed with her foster parents, though she will sleep in her dog bed when redirected. She will "sit" when given a treat and a visual/verbal cue. She is working on "stay"," down" and "settle", though she is good at "leave it" and "drop it. She has been great with our dachshund. She is curious about her, but no rough playing. We also took Clara to a pet friendly restaurant where she did not beg for food and sat calmly at my feet. There were other dogs at the restaurant and she did not bother with them! We were able to order her a dog friendly meal and she ate it so politely!!!Foster Notes: Clara is a great mix of calm and playful energy. She enjoys napping in the morning and playing with her toys in the afternoon (tennis balls and squeaky toys are her favorite). She walks well on the leash and shows curiosity towards other dogs, but is easily redirected with a gentle tug. She's received multiple compliments from people while walking around Uptown and behaves well at dog-friendly stores and restaurants. She never begs for food and takes treats gently.

Hi! I'm Alexa! I'm a sweet girl who is used to being in a home, but have now found myself looking for a new one as a senior. I'm not really sure what is going on since I've always been a good girl. I am just waiting on a urinalysis recheck and I can thoroughly enjoy relaxing. Everyone tells me I have beautiful colors.
