As the Chief Investigator of the SPCA of Texas’ Animal Cruelty Investigations (ACI) Unit\, she leads a dedicated team of investigators authorized to conduct criminal investigations throughout the state. Under her leadership\, the ACI Unit responds to more than 3\,000 cases of cruelty each year\, making a significant impact on animal welfare in Texas. Throughout her career\, Courtney has excelled in various roles\, including animal sheltering\, field operations\, disaster response\, and animal cruelty investigations. This program allows children to practice their reading skills in a cozy and supportive environment while providing comfort and companionship to our furry friends awaiting their forever homes. Typically\, we require volunteers to be 10 years and older\, so this is a special chance for kids aged 7-9 to volunteer at the shelter. \nWe have 10 spots available\, so please sign up on Digital Cheetah if you are interested in attending. You must accompany your child for the duration of the event. \nPlease RSVP in Digital Cheetah at your earliest convenience to secure your spot. Let’s come together to create a pawsitive and uplifting experience for both the children and our shelter cats!
