Meet Wrigley, our handsome 3-year-old boy who came to us as a stray on August 5. Wrigley is smart, loving, and ready for some fun! When meeting other dogs, he has shown loose, friendly body language, offering brief greetings before happily turning his attention back to his handler. He prefers a more gentle play style and loves spending time with his people.
Unfortunately, as Wrigley’s shelter stay continues, the stress is beginning to catch up with him. We are now seeing pacing, heavy panting, dilated pupils, jumping at the front of his room, and finger painting. His medications have been adjusted to help him cope, but what Wrigley really needs is something we can’t provide in a kennel: a break from the shelter.
Wrigley needs a foster home where he can decompress, get some much-needed rest, and enjoy being a dog again. He has been waiting since August, and we would love to see him finally get the chance to relax in a home. If you can foster Wrigley, please reach out to the foster@spca,org!
