Meet Tyson!
Tyson is a very sweet senior boy who was transferred to us from another shelter. He arrived bright, alert, and responsive, but shelter life has been extremely stressful for him. Tyson frequently pants, paces, barks, and struggles to settle both in his kennel and during playgroup. He is also losing weight, making it especially important for him to find a calmer environment as soon as possible.
Although Tyson may show kennel frustration and high energy inside the shelter, he does much better once he is outside of that environment. During playgroup, he interacted appropriately with the other dogs but did not choose to engage in play. He also displayed loose, comfortable body language when greeting dogs through the fence.
Tyson needs a peaceful foster home where he can decompress, rest, and regain weight. As a senior, he deserves a comfortable place where he can feel safe and receive the individual attention he needs. A patient foster who can give him time to adjust and establish a predictable routine could make an incredible difference in his quality of life.
Please consider opening your home to Tyson and giving this deserving senior boy the chance to relax and show his true personality outside the shelter.
