Meet Goose!

Goose is a 10-month-old good boy who came into our care from a difficult situation with skin issues. Despite everything he has experienced, he remains a sweet, playful pup who is ready for a fresh start in a loving foster home.

Goose can feel anxious or stressed when meeting unfamiliar people, so he may be shy at first. Once he begins to feel comfortable, his affectionate and playful personality comes through! He enjoys attention, seeks out pets, and loves playing with toys.

In the play yard, Goose generally has a gentle play style and enjoys exploring his surroundings. He has tolerated greetings from other dogs, greeted them appropriately, and has even tried joining in more energetic play. As with any dog, introductions should be gradual and supervised so everyone has time to get comfortable.

Goose walks fairly well on leash, although he may pull slightly or become excited and jump up or grab the leash. The good news is that he redirects easily with a simple verbal cue and continues walking. He is still a young pup who would benefit from patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement as he works on his manners.

A foster home would give Goose the safe, peaceful environment he needs to decompress, continue healing, and build confidence around new people. With a little time and reassurance, this sweet boy has so much love and potential to share!
