Ember is a beautiful 6-year-old spayed girl who urgently needs a break from the shelter. When someone approaches her kennel, she comes right up to the front with her ears perked and her tail wagging. She seems eager to connect with people, but she’s having a hard time with the noise and stress of shelter life. Staff have noticed her whining, and she’s struggling to settle in her kennel.
We want to give Ember the chance to spend time in a calmer environment, where she can rest and show us more of her personality. Getting to know her outside the shelter would also help us learn what kind of home will be the best fit for her. A foster doesn’t need to have all the answers right away—giving Ember a place to decompress and sharing updates about how she does would be a wonderful start.
If you can open your home to Ember, please email foster@spca.org. Our foster team can talk through what caring for her would involve and help you decide whether she’s a good match.
