The SPCA of Texas’ Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center will be closed on September 9th due to staff training. We will resume normal business hours on Thursday, September 10th.

Meet Boris, a sweet, playful, and energetic Cattle Dog mix who urgently needs a break from the shelter. Boris is having an especially difficult time in the shelter environment and is currently experiencing a very high level of fear, anxiety, and stress. We are hoping to find him a foster home within the next couple of days, or sooner if anyone is available!
Boris is a fun and active boy who would love the opportunity to get out of his kennel, stretch his legs, play, and finally relax in a comfortable home. He also coexists well with other dogs! Once he has a quiet place to decompress and feel safe, we hope his foster family will get to see more of the sweet, affectionate, and playful dog we know is underneath all that shelter stress.
Boris needs someone who can give him a little patience, understanding, and a safe place to breathe. Even a short-term foster stay could provide the relief he desperately needs and make a huge difference in his well-being.
